In-Kind

Family Promise of Athens accepts donations of in-kind goods from our Amazon Wish List. This list includes household items and supplies that we need for our shelter and for families that are moving in to their new homes. New and unused cleaning supplies and hygiene products can be bought from the Wish List or can be dropped off at our Day Center. Email director@familypromiseathens.org with any questions.

Items we accept at the Day Center:

Unopened/new:

  • Cleaning products (laundry detergent, clorox wipes, dryer sheets, soap, sponges, etc)

  • Toilet paper/paper towels

  • Hygiene products (toothbrush, soap, deodorant, etc)

Gently Used:

  • Bedding, Towels, Blankets

  • Children’s books and clothing, baby items

  • kitchen supplies

Gift cards

Gift Cards to grocery stores or big-box stores are extremely helpful. We keep some on hand at all times. Guests often use them to purchase breakfast and lunch supplies, personal hygiene products, school supplies, and fuel for their personal vehicles. When families graduate from our program we supply them with gift cards to be able to purchase groceries as they move into their new homes.

During the holidays we provide gift cards to families in our program as well as to recent graduates to assist with gift and food purchases. When school is not in session children are not provided breakfast and lunch. Families have increased food budgets during breaks from school.

Cards can be purchased online and emailed to director@familypromiseathens.org. Cards can also be mailed to our post office box or dropped by the Day Center during office hours.
